NetworkAdvantage™ can be configured to restore service via satellite until the terrestrial service is repaired. Typically the network router will issue a signal to the satellite port when the terrestrial circuit has failed or become unavailable.
NetworkAdvantage™ is continuously checking for this signal via a control connection to the specific traffic modem dedicated to this link. Once the signal is detected, the remote site signals that the satellite link is required. If bandwidth is available the link will be established, usually in a period of seconds. (Bandwidth can also be made available by pre-empting lower priority links.)
NetworkAdvantage™ can be configured to restore service automatically and rapidly, providing 24/7 backup to mission critical terrestrial networks.
