NetworkAdvantage™ can control data distribution to remote sites over satellite. The data link can be scheduled for a particular time of day and duration. A typical use might be large file transfers.

NetworkAdvantage™ allows bandwidth to be shared around the remote sites, varying bandwidth to certain sites providing additional capacity for those huge demand activities when needed. For example each of the sites may need to download large files during the evenings.

NetworkAdvantage™ allows each site to do this at a set time period, one after another, effectively utilising the same capacity rather than having to set dedicated bandwidth for each site. The remote sites could be set at 64 kbps during the day, increasing to say 2 Mbps for one hour during the evening to allow for the download.
Overall, less bandwidth may be required.
