Videoconferencing is becoming increasingly used to maintain effective communication within an organisation while reducing the costs and wasted time of travelling to meetings. While these benefits are readily accepted for conferencing between main centres, cost-effective transmission bandwidth to remote locations - where the benefits of videoconferencing are really needed - is more difficult. With NetworkAdvantage™ and satellite transmission, the benefits of videoconferencing are available equally to locations outside the main centres.
NetworkAdvantage™ can establish a guaranteed bandwidth transmission path at the data rate required between conferencing sites when needed. Distance is no longer a disadvantage. Bandwidth is typically charged on a 'pay-per-use' basis. It is also possible to provide one-way solutions with voice-only return channels from the remote sites. The interfacing options to the conferencing equipment can be configured in a number of ways, including:
- ISDN
- V.35
- Ethernet / IP
