NetworkAdvantage Corporation Limited is a technology company located in Porirua, (near Wellington) New Zealand, developing satellite bandwidth management systems for satellite service providers and enterprise private satellite networks.

NetworkAdvantage is an open software and appliance system. Bringing control and management of valuable satellite bandwidth to both new and existing satellite networks.

Management Team

Michael Elwood-Smith, CEO

Michael has spent his professional career in the communications industry and has held senior positions in the multimedia communications, cable television and telecom sectors. Past positions include Director of Applications Engineering for Scientific Atlanta Europe (UK), Senior VP of Product Management at the Fantastic Corporation, Switzerland and Business/Technology Advisory services within GOA AG, Switzerland. Michael brings to NetworkAdvantage over 16 years of experience in communications technology, operations, product management, alliances and partnerships, including over 8 years experience of living and working in Europe. He holds a Bachelors degree (Hons) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand.

Deborah Bunyard, Sales & Marketing Manager

Deborah has spent the last 6 years in the satellite communications industry and has held senior positions with a successful US satellite teleport operator. Her past positions included Vice President of Sales, and Chief Operating Officer of PacAmTel Teleport. Deborah has worked with Intelsat USA Sales Corp. Deborah's experience in the satellite industry coupled with her extensive sales and marketing background enable her to work closely with the market to identify needs and understand product applications. Deborah is responsible for the NetworkAdvantage Sales & Marketing team.

Murray Woodley, Chief Financial Officer and Director

Murray has over 20 years experience in senior executive management including corporate governance. Murray held the position of Director Finance at Mitsubishi Motors NZ Ltd, including the NZ Board of Directors, where responsibilities included finance, administration, accounting, insurance, human resources and corporate IT, with regular interaction with the Japanese head office. Murray has a technical background in software programming, and is active in the local business community including Board for Business Porirua, instigator of the Porirua City Business Awards, current Chair of PCC City Economic Development Group, Trustee of e-learning Porirua (IT Education Trust). He holds a Bachelors Degree in Commerce & Administration from Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand, graduate of Monash/Mt Eliza Business School of Melbourne, Australia and active member of the REINZ (Real Estate Institute of New Zealand).

Bruce Chippindale, Engineering Manager

Bruce is an expert in reliable systems design and real-time embedded software programming, where he has held the position of Senior Software Engineer in NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, CA for the past 8 years, including key redesign for sensor flight system development. Bruce's sterling career includes software and security specialist at Control Data Systems, Minneapolis, embedded development at Advanced Systems Development Inc, New York, several years with British Aerospace Australia Ltd, and embedded realtime systems at Norden Systems ASW (Anti-Submarine Warfare), New York. Bruce has a Masters degree of Computer Science at New York Institute of Technology and Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering SUNY, Bachelor Arts (Psychology), University of Rochester.

Don Peat, Chairman of Board

Don has extensive experience in electronic product development, marketing and business management. In addition to founding and Director of Linkworks and NetworkAdvantage , Don is Managing Director of Teltest Ltd, a successful privately held electronic and system design services company. His engineering and business management experience has been gained by more than 20 years in the electronics industry, both in New Zealand and overseas. Don has a Bachelors degree (1st Class Honours) in Electrical Engineering and a Diploma of Business Administration, and is a member of the IEEE, USA.
