NetworkAdvantage™ Corporation and Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel), Asia's leading communications group, today announced the launch of a Critical Circuit Network Recovery Service. Managed from Singapore, the service is a cost-effective satellite backup solution protecting customer's critical circuits between any customer location at any bandwidth - automatically.
Masagos Zulkifli, SingTel's Vice President of Regional and Mobile Satellite Business said, “Our customers are looking for immediate recovery in the event of a disruption to critical communications. This is especially crucial in post-tsunami Asia. SingTel's satellite expertise, combined with technology from NetworkAdvantage™, offer our customers the assurance of always having their mission-critical circuits operational at cost-effective rates”.
“Satellite is the ideal platform for secure and reliable backup of critical communications links” says NetworkAdvantage™ CEO, Michael Elwood-Smith. “Until now, using satellite for recovery has been either expensive or manually provisioned. With SingTel's new Critical Circuit Network Recovery Service, businesses, organizations and service providers can now protect against communication disruption at minimal cost.”
The service provides a seamless and cost-effective method for failsafe recovery of critical circuits over satellite when key communication links such as those using landlines, submarine cables, satellite systems are lost. An effective protection against the threat of network failure, it actively monitors customer's primary circuits for service interruption, and automatically establishes a satellite link when required.
The Critical Circuit Network Recovery service is available throughout Asia including Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan and Thailand. The service can be added onto existing satellite terminals with minimal effort and cost.
